Another summer at Berklee, setting up equipment as Equipment Manager/Roadie
|
March 2025
David Rawlings did an Interview on Minnesota Public Radio's "The Current". He told the story of the Epiphone and kindly mentioned me. I still have the Fender Bandmaster Reverb Amp, and use it all the time!

Music Maker Foundation has put up a playlist of instructional videos featuring artists from their roster. The videos use my transcriptions and teaching. There is a nice mix of electric and acoustic songs.

October 2024
The Music Maker Foundation celebrated it's 30th anniversary October 10-12, 2024.
Performers at the event included Taj Mahal, Jackson Browne, Don Flemons and Jimbo Mathus. I was honored to teach a Blues Masterclass on Saturday morning. We covered a 12-bar blues in A, Pickin Cotton Blues, and a blues in E, Baby Please Don't Go. Transcriptions of both tunes are in the Music Maker Songbook "Deep in the South".

Dom Flemons attended the masterclass, I was nervous but no need, Dom is such a gentleman. After the class we talked about music, teaching, life. He is a wealth of knowledge.

Jimbo Mathus took time out of his schedule to talk with me about rhythm guitar and teaching. Jimbo is deep into rhythm.
